Education

BSC and other relevant professional qualifications.

Experience

2. Team Member Data Warehouse

OBJECTIVES

  • Responsible for instituting and enforcing standard procedures as regards to Data quality and accuracy of reporting system
  • Leading initiatives that relate to ensuring Master Data Management is in place across all Integration systems thereby increasing data reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Requirements
  1. Effective liaison with requesting units / business users in gathering requirements and conducting related analysis in order to achieve optimal results Build a trust relationship with the Business Unit staff (executive to junior official).
  2. Implementation of strict compliance  within the Data warehouse
  3. Serve as business interface with support team on data / validation issues
  4. Liaise with technology on any extraction bottlenecks, ensure that measures are in place to maintain a clean data warehouse with highly reduced unclean data.
  5. Detailed Business Requirement for Business Reporting, which results in frequent change requests to meet business demands.

  1. Contribute to the improvement of the BI/MIS platforms or processes via innovative ideas, strategies and related initiatives.
  2. Alignment and Perform other duties as may be assigned by Head IT Enterprise Applications
  3. Data quality assurance measures across the industry.
  4. Integration of other enterprise data system for rapid and efficient dissemination of financial information and data analytics bank-wide.
  • Data Management Repository
  1. Maintain inventory of data content (structure, level of detail and amount of history).
  2. Periodically review all data content in the BI environment to identify opportunities for improvement of problem avoidance.
  3. Co-ordination of a metadata solution of incompatibility between the warehousing environment and other systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

First degree in any relevant field of study.

Post graduate degree or a professional qualification will be an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years experience of which 2 years must have been spent in a similar role in Data Warehouse & Data Quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Documentation of Enterprise architecture baseline

  1. Ensure proper documentation of Enterprise Application support process/procedures and Configuration items.
  2. Ensure up-to-date procedures for both end-users and operators of these systems.

Process optimization

  1. Ensure timely understanding of any new software integration into company systems.
  2. Ensure preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software is carried out as and when due.
  3. Ensuring smooth running and availability of 99.99% Payment System Application 24 x 7×365

Project Delivery Effectiveness

  1. Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  2. Perform any project task as may be assigned by the Team Lead, Enterprise Application Support UBA Africa.

Accuracy of application Configuration to reduced errors resulting from inaccurate configuration of data

  1. Take necessary and prompt corrective actions to ensure the achievement of set objectives.

Issue Closure within TAT:

  1. Ensure that support Issue raised by the business are resolved within the agreed TAT.
  2. Ensure mitigation against future occurences

Adhoc Duties

  1. Render periodic report for management descision making.
  2. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Unit Head, Other Banking App Support & Monitoring.
