Club Career
Andriy Lunin started is football career in FC Metalist Youth Sportive School and FC Dnipro Youth Sportive School system. In 2016 after the graduation of the youth sportive school he played in the FC Dnipro opestrousk reserves in the main team squad, Lunin made is debut as a start squad player at the age 17 in the match against FC karpaty Liviv. On October 16, 2016 in the Ukrainian premier league he was the first choice goalkeeper for Dnipro playing in total 25 matches for the club across league and club competitions. How ever due to financial shortage Dnipro was relegated to the second league and players with Andriy Lunin were allowed to leave the club. In the 2017/2018 season Andriy Lunin spent the season playing for FC Zorya Luhansk where he once again be came the first choice goalkeeper, on September 14, 2017 Lunin made his European debut in Europa league group stage loss to Ostersunds FK at Arena Liviv at the end of that season he ended up playing 36 matches in all competition that season.
On June 19, 2018 Andriy Lunin became the first Ukrainian to play for Real Madrid with a reported signing of £ 8.5 million plus 5 million add-ons deal, and he made is debut for the club in a 2-1 loss to Alcoyano in the 2020 Copa del Rey. Then August 27, 2018 he was loaned out to near by club counterpart CD Leganes for the season after the contract was completed he was loaned out on August 13, 2019 to Real Valladolid for the 2019/2020 season. On October 15, 2019 Lunin was shortlisted for the 20 best under – 21 player 2019 Golden boy award. Then January 15, 2020 is contract with Real Valladolid was terminated which on that same day Real Oviedo announced the loaning of Lunin until June 30, 2020
Country Career
Lunin made his Ukraine national team debut at age 19 on March 23, 2018 in a 1-1 draw friendly against Saudi Arabia. In the year 2019 he helped Ukraine U-20 team to their first ever world cup victory. He played in 6 out of 7 matches having to miss the quarterfinals due to his call to Ukraine main squad to face Serbia and Luxembourg after the final against South Korea, Lunin was awarded the golden glove award as the best goalkeeper.
