Mitsuki Francis Laycock popularly known as Mitski Miyawaki and short as Mitski was born on September 27, 1990 in Japan to an American father and a Japanese mother. As of 2022, she is 32 years old and celebrates her birthday every year on September 27.
While growing up she lived in six different countries such as Turkey, China, Malaysia, Japan, the Czech Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo due to her father’s job at the United States Department of States before they finally settled in America

In 2015 she was signed to “Dead Ocean” and then the following year she released her fourth album “Puberty 2” on June 17, 2016. The album was recorded at Acme Studios in Westchester County, NY and was produced by Patrick Hyland.
On May 14, 2018 she released her fifth studio album “Be the Cowboy”. On November 9, 2021 she announced that her sixth album “Lauren Hell” will be released before her 2022 European and North American tour. She also released her song titled “The Heartbreaker” that same day.
