Young Devyn started her music career at a very young age. she got into the music industry at the age of 8, then she began singing, composing and writing Soca music.
At age 13, she performed at her first concert at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church auditorium in Brooklyn, November 21, 2015.
On November 26, 2019, she released her first single, titled “Nobody”. When she was interviewed she explained how she doesn’t use profanity (vugar speech) in her songs, she mentioned two reasons
One is “I started writing music when I was very young and you can’t put profanity in your music at 8 years old.
The second is that “When I was so young my grandma always gave me books to read because I loved reading. Once my Grandma didn’t have any more books for me to read, she told me to read the dictionary and that’s how I ended up learning so much more vocabulary“.
Devyn released her first Ep titled “Baby Goat” on June 18, 2021.
