Early Life and Education
Laycon was born in the year 1994 in Lagos state, but he take his roots from Ogun state. As of the time of writing this article Laycon is 26 years old. After he completed his primary and secondary school education, Laycon proceeded to the University of Lagos to study philosophy. He graduated from the University in the year 2016 with a Second class upper.
Working Career
Apart from Laycon’s involvement in music, he was done pretty well with his degree. During his internship he worked at Latjum Global Nigerian Limited which is an Oil and Gas marketing company in Lagos. He interned as a Personal Assistant to the CEO and Managing Director of the company.
After graduating from school, Laycon got a job to work as the Sales and Business Development Personnel at Bestman Games Ikoyi Lagos. Bestman Games is an African games company situated at Lagos state. After two months of working with Bestman, Laycon left and worked at the Ministry of Information and Strategy as a Personal Assistant to the Assistant Director (welfare) of Administration and Human Resources of the ministry.
Music Career
Laycon love for music grew at a tender age. While pursuing and developing his working career, he also was able to work on his music career. On 2014 Laycon performed at Coke studio event which was held at the University of Lagos. Laycon is currently signed to Fierce Nation Music record label on 21st February 2019, he released a single tiltled “Fierce” featuring two of Nigeria’s prominent musicians Chinko Ekun and Reminisce. He has also released another single “Senseless” on August 28, 2020.

Big Brother Naija Season 5
Laycon was declared the winner of the Tv reality show on the 27th of September, 2020. He entered the reality show as the number 19th contestant and during his stay in the program, he broke an all time record of becoming the first housemate to be verified on Instagram. Laycon won the season 5 edition with a vote points of 60% leaving a huge margin between Dorathy and Nengi who were 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively with vote points of 21.85% and 15.03%.
